Scriptures for Discouragement

Discouragement can quietly settle into the heart after disappointment, unanswered prayers, repeated setbacks, or simply trying your best for a very long time without seeing the outcome you hoped for.

If you’re weary of waiting, questioning whether your efforts matter, or struggling to hold on to hope, these scriptures remind you that God sees what others may not. He is still working, even when you cannot yet see the fruit of your faithfulness.

Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.

For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.

So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
