Feeling Tired?

Not all exhaustion comes from a lack of sleep. Sometimes, your body is tired from carrying responsibilities, and your heart is tired from carrying everything else.

If you’ve been pouring into others while running on empty yourself, these scriptures and prayers are here to remind you that rest is not weakness. God sees your weariness and gently invites you to come to Him for renewal.

🌿

When You Have Nothing Left to Give

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28 (WEB)

Jesus doesn’t invite you to push harder. He invites you to come closer. His rest is for weary people, not perfect people. 🌿

God Renews Tired Hearts

But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 (WEB)

Waiting on God isn’t wasted time. He strengthens us in ways we often cannot see until we look back. 🌿

He Restores Your Soul

Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.

Psalm 23:1–3 (WEB)

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is receive God’s care. He knows how to restore what exhaustion has drained. 🌿

A Prayer When You’re Feeling Tired 🌿

Dear Lord,

I am tired.

Some days, I don’t even know how to explain the depth of my weariness. I am tired in my body from the work that never seems to end. I am tired in my mind from carrying responsibilities and making decisions. I am tired in my heart from trying to stay strong when I feel like I have very little left to give.

Thank You for seeing what others may not notice. You know the sacrifices, the late nights, the quiet tears, and the moments when I have wondered how I will keep going.

Help me release the pressure to do everything perfectly. Remind me that rest is a gift You lovingly offer, not something I have to earn. Teach me to receive Your peace without guilt and to trust that the world will not fall apart if I pause to breathe.

Renew my strength for today’s tasks. Restore my soul where it feels depleted. Fill the empty places within me with Your presence and remind me that I do not walk through this season alone.

Thank You for being my refuge when I feel weary and my source of strength when my own is running low.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
